Selecting the right Champagne glass deserves consideration, there are hundreds of different combinations of shapes and sizes available.

Champagne glasses are usually made from glass, crystal or leaded crystal, you really should avoid any glass that is made from plastic, unless you really have absolutely no choice, like being stranded on a deserted island with a case of the good stuff but only plastic flutes. Also, try to avoid colored glass as well so you can properly view the beauty of the wine.

Always be sure to store your glasses upright as they can absorb the odor of whatever they are standing on and this could possibly be transmitted to the champagne. When you wash your glasses, try and avoid using detergents, a good glass will clean up easily with a quality sponge and some warm water. The last thing you want is to have any detergent residue inside the glass.

If you do not plan on washing the glasses right after using them, we recommend at least rinsing them out and leaving a bit of water in the glass overnight. This will make cleaning them the next day much easier as you will not have any dried wine residue on the bottom of your glasses. Before you put them away for their next use, give them a good wiping with a lint-free cloth so that they will be residue free when you next use them.
